The subject is the architectural design of a new visitor centre of the protected landscape area Jeseníky “House of Nature Jeseníky Mountains” in the village of Karlova studánka, which builds on the existing geological exposition. The design separates the existing geological exposition from the adjacent road and thus creates a more intimate and peaceful environment for outdoor sightseeing tours. The building itself is set within the existing terrain configuration in the site as much as possible with minimal amount of intrusion into the surrounding area, taking advantage of the elevations within the dividing the building into two floors.
