The aim of the design was to create a dignified contemplative environment that would develop the spirit of the cemetery site, both during the last farewell and between ceremonies.

The building of the mourning hall consists of a single-storey horizontal mass with a significantly exceeded volume of the main space, which is used for performing the ceremonies of the last farewell. An important element of the mourning hall is the roof skylight, which lets in light above the hearse and has a strong symbolic significance of the soul's departure to the afterlife.
